News Anchors Jobs description
A news anchor generates story ideas, gathers information, and produces and presents stories and other content for all platforms and in a manner that is clear, relevant, and meaningful to news consumers. A news anchor shoots and edits local highlights; shoots and edits sports packages; produces, writes, and edits sportscast; and records and edits national sports highlights. A news anchor ensures all content meets news channel standards and policies. A news anchor does high quality daily general assignment reporting, series work, enterprise stories, conducts probing, and in-depth and engaging interviews.A news anchor needs a minimum of four years of full-time professional reporting experience as well as two years anchoring experience. Knowledge of how to shoot and edit a video is important. A news anchor must have highly effective on-air performance with excellent news judgment and extensive knowledge of local and national sports events and issues.
